About us...

Owners Ben and Kim Reil have lived in Summit County for over twenty years.  Ben is a professional pastry chef educated at the prestigious Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Ben started Reil Mountain Confections in 2000, a business specializing in wedding cakes and all occasion cakes and pastries.

In 2004, Ben and Kim opened the Blue Moon Bakery located in Silverthorne.  The Blue Moon has become a Summit County favorite for both locals and visitors due to a focus on high quality, freshly baked products and friendly service.

The Blue Moon is open daily from 7 am to 4 pm offering a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items in addition to the large selection of delicious desserts, pastries and fresh bread.
